I mean, if you practice enough you should be able to draw good looking trees, right? How about learning “how to sketch a tree step by step”? I looked all over the web to find such a tutorial as this. Learning “how to draw trees step by step” can be so easy by using this online guide. My mother used to be a painter and all she would paint was the peach trees in our back yard. Did you know that trees give off most of the world’s oxygen? It’s pretty fascinating if you really think about. How could trees produce oxygen for so many people. It makes me think about the tree and plant population disintegrating to upkeep human life. Sometimes trees are cut down for things in the world that don’t matter. Anyways, I wanted this friendly lesson on how to draw a tree to be an easy lesson for avid artists. Just remember to keep practicing and you’ll soon be able to get awesome outcomes.

Step 1. Define where you want to draw your tree. Observe your paper and indicate how your tree would look on it. If your aiming for a single tree with some grass and a few plants scattered around it, I would draw it in the middle of the paper. If your planning to sketch out a few trees, scatter them in locations where they all look connected. This will create a eerie and unique feel.

Step 2. Next, sketch out the detailing to the bark and branches. The leaves are probably going to be the hardest to sketch out. I would prefer sketching the leaves in fast strokes where you could tell that there are leaves in the area. Make sure you keep these strokes close to one another. Don’t forget to define the direction of your light source. Overlaying shadows is also important to add depth and dimension to your leaves.

Step 3. Fill in some grass and shrubs around the tree or trees. This will make it seem that the tree is in some kind of wilderness. Extra shading on the sides of the objects will make your drawing seem toned and more interesting.
